New York Sash is proud to be the Bronze Plus sponsor of the 2026 Ride for Missing Children taking place this Friday, June 5th.
The meaning behind this 80-mile bike ride throughout the Mohawk Valley extends far beyond a physical challenge. The Ride strives to honor the memory of all missing children, educate the public about issues surrounding missing and exploited children, promote child safety, and generate funding for programs that provide community education and prevention efforts focused on child abduction and sexual exploitation.
This year, I will be joining my parents, Jill and Scot, and my Aunt Jessie to experience this amazing and moving event. I was fortunate enough to spend my childhood watching The Ride every summer, and the lessons and values I learned were incredibly valuable. I learned about the real dangers of child abduction and ways to stay safe, including practicing the buddy system—a habit I still follow today.
To help ensure future generations receive the same education and awareness that I did, I believe it is important to support and participate in events like The Ride. It is more than just a bike ride; it is an opportunity to honor missing children, support families affected by child abduction, and raise awareness throughout our communities.
My family has told me what a rewarding experience it is, and I am excited to experience it for myself.
Please consider donating to this important cause!
